What a great first week!

Hello students and families! We had such a wonderful first three days on team 8A. We reviewed the building handbook and various syllabi, we talked about the upcoming eclipse, and we had some crazy-good fun playing Minute to Win It games. We also started to get to know each other with a Who I Am activity, we reviewed some building-wide and grade-level-wide expectations, and we got ourselves back into the school routine.

If you haven't already, please be sure to collect the required materials for ELA class (a composition notebook, a folder with three metal brads, and lots of writing utensils). We'll be setting up our writer's notebooks next week and those composition notebooks are crucial!

If you missed any classes this week, check out the calendar section of the class website to find all that you'll need to get caught up.

Stay tuned for all the great stuff we'll be doing next week! We'll be learning about multiple intelligences, taking writing and reading diagnostic exams, and doing some free-writing.

Last but DEFINITELY not least, Monday is the Great American Solar Eclipse. Be ready for it...we sure are!
